Who's that supervillain?

Who’s the red guy in the back center?

I think I can name all the others. (Corrections welcome)
From left-to-right, starting with the front row:

Robin, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman
Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman
Joker, Penguin, Lex Luthor, Catwoman, Riddler
Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Cyborg*, ???, Brainiac, Bane

  • Also, why’s Cyborg standing with the bad guys?

For context: This is the shirt my four-year-old daughter wore to preschool today. “Boys’ tee” my ass.

Not a comics guy, and I’ve little idea of who’s who in DC, but could it be Etrigan the Demon/Jason Blood?

Frankly, I thought it was Hellboy at first.

Etriga’s yellow. I’m not sure who your guy is, though. Perhaps this question might get more traction in Cafe Society.

And you’re right. Why is Cyborg hanging out with the bad guys?

After scouring the internet, I thought it might be this guy. But if so, he’d be an odd choice to include, as he’s way newer than anyone else on the shirt.

Clearly it’s just some red guy who snuck into the back of the picture.

This is the same conundrum with old wedding photos. That guy is just Braniac’s +1.

Looks like a miscolored Mongul.

Supervillian photobomb?

Girls tee shirts would typically be cut a little differently to accommodate the typical, uh, female body form. I guess your four-year-old daughter doesn’t have a problem widdat.

Atrocious, head of the red lantern corps.

And I don’t think that’s Cyborg. That guy looks Caucasian and too old.

Yeah, looks like a terribly drawn Atrocitus.

But since everybody else is terribly drawn, as well (Joker, Robin, and Wonder Woman, especially), that fits. >_>

Metallo?

I think it’s probably a poorly drawn Cyborg.

Interestingly, the villains are disproportionately from Batman’s circle. At a rough count:

Hero - Villain(s)

Superman - Luther, Brainiac
Batman (and Robin) - Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, Harlequin, Poison Ivy, Bane
Flash - None
Green Lantern - Atrocitus (probably)
Aquaman - None
Wonder Woman - None
Cyborg - None

It looks like the artist was going for who was recognizable (basically the SuperFriends, plus a few), with Atrocitus thrown in as an afterthought because he or she couldn’t think up any good villains for GL, WW, Flash, Aquaman or Cyborg.

I have to admit, when I think of DC villains, I also tend toward Luther, Brainiac and then Batman’s foes. I couldn’t offhand name more than a handful of second-rate villains associated with anyone other than Superman or Batman.

I looked at the image and immediately thought “Well that’s CLEARLY the Red Skull dude. Surely someone realized that!” Looking through the thread I saw NO ONE had and I was just shocked, as I’m not the biggest comic fan. I had a reply all ready, wondering how anyone could have missed it. Thankfully…before I pushed submit…I realized Red Skull was Captain America…who’s Marvel…which the Justice League is not XD Embarrassment narrowly avoided!

Well, Flash’s gallery is pretty much all goofy, at least, and “second-rate” flatters most of them unmercifully. Wonder Woman’s is possibly worse, and I don’t think Egg-Fu would fit on the shirt, anyway. GL has some better enemies, but the obvious choice would be Sinestro. For Aquaman…I got nothing. (And I’m one of the guy’s rare defenders.)

I agree that the art is horrible. Aside from the others mentioned, that’s the worst Brainiac I’ve seen since before he demanded pants.

Oh, come on! Wonder Woman has Cheetah, Hercules … HERCULES FFS … Ares, Circe and Baroness von Gunther, just for starters. She had some tasty opponents.

Oh, were those opponents? I thought they were just her bondage playmates. :stuck_out_tongue:
