Who's up for sledding? Or a snowball fight?

Speaking of which, I was quite annoyed when I went to Montreal last month and no one gave me a loony. (Loonie?) I got lots and lots of toonies, but apparently all everyone had less than that were quarters. What’s up with that?

Maybe they were being rerouted to be laundry change?

(It’s ‘loonie’.)

Thanks, because i know what a “Loony” is.

I was fascinated by the thread recently about what you all put in your strippers’ underwear if you don’t have dollar bills. (Well, not you personally, but you know what I mean.) I don’t know if we ever got a final answer on that.

And everyone is taking my money for their laundry???

And in the article, they mention that Christchurch got the brunt of the blizzard!
Geez, those guys just can’t catch a break these days - earthquakes, blizzards…I guess I will have to call my friends there again and see when the locusts are scheduled to arrive to make this year complete.

Actually, today was quite lovely here for a change. The heat has broken, and we’re back to the 70s with occasional refreshing showers.

Of course, I’m locked in a library trying to write a paper for publication, so it does me no good, but still.

Dang it. I always miss the snowball fights.

:: Lobs one anyway, wondering if anyone’s around to catch ::

October is my favorite month, followed by January. I hate summer humid hot weather. Love snow.

:: snowball comes back down on own head ::

I’m not good at throwing stuff.

And we can make him our best friend, we can make him tall, or we can make him not-so-tall…

I am SO ready to go skiing again!!!

We just came off a week of 90+ temps. It was so hot here. (I’m in Michigan, USA) I finally got online and started looking up ski resorts in South America, thinking it might be time for a trip. I can’t swing it now, but some day, some day…

I’m writing my name in the snow with my sunburn.

But…but…we do that in winter here anyway! I live not very far from the Slurpee capital of the world, Winnipeg. Population of 700,000, consumes 188,833 Slurpees a month.

Not me. We finally have the warmth of summer. I want to bask in it for 6 or so months.
