Who's your favorite Grade C celeb?

I adore both these women. And I can’t put Najimy in the C list when she’s a regular on King of the Hill. That’s enviable employment in anyone’s book!

Heh… I admit, I didn’t get the joke behind their names until you pointed it out just now. I was a teenager when her show was on, I think, but I’m not sure. (I stopped being a teenager in 1989, but I’m not sure of the exact dates of her show.)

I always wished she’d come out with more stuff, but apparently not. A quick Google search reveals that she’s been doing some writing that’s linked somehow to Dr. Phil. Ah, well.

Her appearance on Celebrity Jeopardy! reïnforced the sense I got that she was as smart as she was clever. She kept trying to downplay her intelligence; she seemed a bit embarrassed by it. I developed a crush.

I’m over the crush now, but I’d still like to see her in more things. However, if she’s happy with relative obscurity, then she can stay there. It’s her life. I wouldn’t mind seeing her show again, though. What was it called? I forget.

Grace Under Fire. She played Grace Kelly. Hee!

She was a recovering alcoholic, and fell off the wagon during her show. Ultimately, they simply couldn’t continue production because her alcohol abuse left her unable to keep a shooting schedule, and the show was cancelled.

Hmmmm…Is Paul Reubens a C-lister?

MINK STOLE! John Waters Mary Kay Latourneu (sp) and anyone who has been on America’s Next Top Model and lost (or won for that matter)

When an A list celeb stars in a movie you will see them on every talk show, and they’ll be the first guest. There will also be a cover story about them in Time. Also, they usually only appear in one or two movies a year, and always in a starring role (Tom Cruise in Magnolia being an exception).

When a B list celeb stars in a movie they’ll be the second guest on Regis, the first on Conan, and there will be an article in People about how they like to relax on their ranch. They’ll be in several movies each year, sometimes in the lead, other times as a supporting player.

C list celebs don’t star in theatrically released movies (straight to DVD is a different story) and are lucky if Jimmy Kimmel wants to talk to them.

Fred Ward
Melinda Clarke
Leland Orser

Is Radha Mitchell a C-list anymore?

I rule, because I possess this! You should too, and pray to their patron saint, J.T. Walsh!

Other than being number 3 on my celebrity crush list… Not much really… She does some indie film work. She was also in “The Upside of Anger” with Joan Allen and Kevin Costner.

I like her. I find Longoria’s acting wonderful.

I hope the C lister from that show is Terri Hatcher. She comes across to me as a vain and stupid bore.

One of my longtime favorites is Jeff Fahey. He has appeared in some theatrical movies, and had a terrific (but unsuccessful) TV series called “The Marshal.” Yet he never seems to “click” and break through into the big time. Most of his body of work is cheapo made-for-TV and direct-to-video stuff, and that’s a shame.

Well, seeing as he hasn’t really been in the limelight ever since he gave new meaning to the phrase “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse,” I’d say yes.

Nah, she’s a very solid B-Lister, having been in a bunch of movies and TV shows for years (She was one of the stars of Lois and Clark: The Adventures of Superman, and had a very memorable guest appearance on Night Court way back in the day  )

FYI, Adult Swim will be carrying Pee-Wee’s Playhouse beginning in July. Woo Fuckin’ Hoo. That show is hilarious! (I have the entire set of tapes).
