Whos your favorite super hero?

Not Captain Caveman?

Resurrection Man was definitely the coolest. I mean, he gets a new superpower every time he dies. How cool would that be?

Spider-Man

Aw, I don’t hafta explain why, do I? I gots very limited time to do the SD nowadays! Ok, I’ll try to be as eloquent and informative as possible given the limited time.

Spidey rocks, doood!

There.

Nnaaaah!

But, that attitude, on the other hand… :smack:

Look, Green Newbie, lurk awhile, & pick up the customs of the Board.

Start a thread about how this Board works, & what the colorful, local tribal customs are.

Hope you last longer this time.

Reach 100 posts. Then, my son, you shall be a man! ;j

…Just smile and nod at the strange man.
(who obviously doesn’t pay attention to details before posting.)
Awwww, F- it!

Hey pal, check it out! More than 100 posts before you even posted with that comment. Here’s a quarter. Now you have some cents.

Batman, when he’s written well (which luckily, he has been, recently).

Yes. Even though he’s got the single laziest superpower ever.

Oh, and Ma Hunkel, just to confuse people.

Silver Surfer, no contest, is my favorite of all time. I also like the Tick (the comic moreso than the show), Green Lantern, The Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor…oh hell, way way too many to name, the Surfer is my favorite though

You’ve got a point there, but I love his fight scenes (or should that be “fight” scenes?). I’d kill to see him in a new title, or even as a guest star somewhere.

I dont know in the super animated series aqua-man made a apperance of some rather nice sea weaponary that made anyones navy look weak

But the tv series are usually totally diffrent than the comics re the 90s batman superman spiderman series

Danger Mouse
Banana Man
Super Gran (UK)
Honk Kong Fuey

Maybe not the best, but certainly the most unlikely superheroes

Martian Manhunter. One of the most interesting people in the Justice League, just because he isn’t human and doesn’t try to hide it, when he could very very easily. Superman’s an alien, but he’s still beloved. MM? Likely has to deal with people shying away from him, even when he’s trying to save them. He could try to look more human in public, but doesn’t. He’s seen and done more than most of the other heroes on the planet, and could take most of them down before they even knew what was happening. You can keep yer Superman and Batman. I’ll take him.

And here I thought I was going to be the only one to say Martian Manhunter

Anyway, he’s cool for every reason Sam Hell stated. Oh, and he likes Oreos.

Batman for the reasons already given.

Captain America because he shows the same determination and nobility as Batman, but without the darkness.

Aquaman, as imagined in the 1990’s, soverign of the 2/3rds of the planet, commander of a mighty Navy, has mystic connections, and a badass in Batman’s league to boot. Ah yeah.

The Flash. Jay, Barry, Wally, I love them all. Superman comes with a list of powers a mile long, The Flash has one, but, when written well (say, by Gardner Fox or Mark Waid) can use it in an infinite number of ways.

Resurrection Man was pretty cool too. I miss him, his series was just getting cool again when they canned it.

Spaceman Spiff (from Calvin and Hobbes)

Actually, he assumes a more humanoid appearance so that humans are more comfortable around him.

True, but he could just as easily make himself look “normal”, i.e. hair, skin that isn’t green, ect. Nobody else in the League looks “unnatural.” (unless you count certain depictions of Wonder Woman’s upper body :).)

J’onn’s “true” form has been changed a couple of times. Last I heard, the round headed green was the form Martians used in public, they only used the “true” spiky form when among family and other intimates.

So, as of MM #0, J’onn isn’t aping humans, but keeping to Martian Custom.

Aha, thank ye for that clarification, but my point still stands. If he’s that faithful to his own customs, why didn’t/doesn’t he go one step further and make himself look like us? (Am I putting too much thought into this?)

One problem with this explanation: it’s been repeatedly mentioned, in concert with the explanation of his two different head shapes, that he actually changes the shape of his brain when he switches between the two forms - the round-headed shape has more “human comprehensible” thought processes, useful especially for his telepathy with humans, while the pointy-headed shape has a true Martian brain structure, complete with Martian cogitation - the implication has always (well, “always” since they came up with the pterodactyl-head thing) that Martian brains are long and pointy, which is why their heads are.

OTOH, that doesn’t explain J’emm at all, so who knows.

Either way, I’m forced to realize that I should have had J’onn J’onzz on my original list. Consider it added.

  2. The Emerald Archer; Green Arrow

  3. … and I’ll admit to having most issues of The Sensational She-Hulk.

Guess I must have something about Green
