I’ve seen probably 80% of the things mentioned here and I can only remember a handful of them:p Pun intended, and I honestly cannot picture most of these schlongs. I remember there was some buzz about seeing Mr. Affleck’s junk in* Gone Girl* and I was kind of looking forward to that. I don’t think we actually saw anything (believe me I was paying attention).
On the other hand, I think I may have a manufactured memory of Jonathan Rhys Meyers cock in The Tudors. Can anyone confirm?

I agree. I don’t remember any frontal nudity at all, even in the “the man’s deformed!” scene. Same with An Officer and an Genital. I don’t remember anything there (sorry, Robert Loggia).
What I do remember is that in the 80s, while every R rated movie had female breast nudity, (even if it didn’t help the plot), male nudity was rare! *Angels and Insects *was a big (heh heh) deal at the time (and that was the 90s); same with The Bad Lieutenant.
Are people remembering things incorrectly? Or are you all counting every 0.25 second shot in dim light as a valid example?
Now, Angels and Insects I do remember but I’m kind of wondering, as you are, if some of these have been misremembered. I’m afraid I’ll need to see pictures, or it didn’t happen 
They are probably only referring to ‘bush’, which will get you a definite R, but actual* labia majora* will get you an automatic NC-17. With dicks, a few quick flashes of *flaccid *ones will only be an R, but a hard-on is also a guaranteed NC-17. And the only mainstream, English-language film I can think of that had either (both actually) was Bertolucci’s The Dreamers.
