I can like a character without liking the person they’re playing. I like lots of heinous characters – Al Swearengen, Avon Barksdale, Stringer Bell, Omar, Olivia Soprano, Hannibal Lecter. They’re good characters, without being good people. I think that’s what we mean when we talk about liking the Housewives. They suck as characters, because they’re so poorly written.
Man, do I love Swearengen or what? What a great character…I miss Deadwood.
Yes – they’re all made of liquid metal and can heal instantly from all but psychic wounds.
I’m waiting for them all to join together into one huge Super-Housewife.
Mrs. flex chose this show to watch when the first season started. I vaguely remembered seeing a commercial with a naked Terri Hatcher, so I didn’t put up any fuss. Since then I’ve been hooked soap opera style and generally enjoy the show. I’m really pissed that Susan didn’t steal Dana Delany’s towel in the last episode though. I’m thinking I need to go rent Exit to Eden again.
