Why are liberals referred to as "bedwetters"?
Everyone they don’t like is a socialist now, including billionaires George Soros and Warren Buffet, and all the Hollywood types who scrape by on mere millions a year. And Al Gore.
And then they noticed that “Socialist” is in the long-form name for “Nazi”, and so now liberals are all Nazis.
Oh, sure, now Hillary is part of the far right.

Excluded middle, anyone?

I knew someone would say that! I said it because I thought someone upthread had referred to “far right” people who are afraid of Harry Potter. Upon reviewing, it actually said a “certain segment” of conservatives, so my bad.
My assumption was that it was a poorly constructed OP (which, you have to grant me, is not a rash assumption, considering the source).
It may be, but it was a reasonable question on its own merits, which I answered.

Now, as far as it goes, I have met some people who simply could nto even consider violence or confrontation or cmpetition, although they often had… other ways… of dealing with problems which were just as bad if not worse. I don’t claim that all liberals are like this. They were.

Senator Hilary Clinton said in the CNN/YouTube Debate that the word has changed in recent decades to connote big-government supporters.

I agree that you did, and I don’t quite get why some folks are so worked up over your answer.

Oh, sorry; that was really directed at the whole thread. I’d be perfectly happy to explain why some people call anyone right of Castro fascist, too.
was followed byandandI know some folks have a hard-on for Der Trihs, but i don’t see what was wrong with his comment. It was offered in the exact same spirit as the OP, and was a perfectly appropriate rhetorical response. When people ask dumb-fuck questions, they are most likely to get snarky, simplistic answers.
Perhaps you’re none to familiar with Der Trihs other posts. Ones in which he is not kidding.

Why are conservatives referred to as “whiny ass titty babies”?

Well aware of them.

But that doesn’t make him wrong on this occasion.

I have skimmed this thread most carefully, and it seems to me that you are all missing the most obvious possible explanation:

Liberals wet their beds.

Why has this idea been dismissed so quickly? Have any of you conducted any studies? Are there currently any investigations being carried out at all?

I really don’t think we should comment until there is a bi-partisan investigation into this.

checking sheets Nope. Not lately, anyway.

Whatever you do, don’t start your investigation with Google.

When discussing a posters mid set, previous posting styles can reasonably be called in as ‘character witnesses’.

For the exact same reason feminists are called “feminazis” and Democrats are called “DemonRats.”

The usage says nothing about the subject and everything about the speaker.
