Except… sock bags aren’t airtight. There’s breather holes so they don’t explode at altitude.
About a month ago I bought a package of 10 Hanes over-the-calf athletic tube socks at Walmart. It was just your average heat-sealed plastic package, not zip-lock.
I take a new pair when I consign an old worn-out pair to my rag bag. So I keep the new ones in the package until I need them.
