I wonder how many of these subs are in the Persian Gulf? They are silent and almost undetectable-probably a generation quieter than the Swedish “Gotland” Class (that the USN has trouble detecting).
I’m sure that Ahmadinejad and his crew are aware of their presence-it probably gives them pause.

I would bet none. From Eliat to the Persian Gulf its about 1500 to 2000 km. Thats 4000 km just in transit and leave onlt a few days loiter time.
