Cell phone commercials
all kinds of Cosmetics - Revlon, Maybelline
Hair care (shampoo, coloring, etc.)
Car commercials (esp. sporty cars)
Perfumes
Gap - features many different body types in many of their ads
Basically, many products geared to men or otherwise to women based on appearance and making themselves look better. The exceptions I have noticed are the cell phone and Radio Shack ones, and the Ragu commercials. I haven’t seen the Clorox one, but there is also a Pine Sol commercial with a large breasted woman (although she is larger all together, so I don’t know if that counts.)
Why aren’t there any men with larger bulges in their pants on TV?
I feel that as a woman, I should be exposed to well-endowed men on commercials as well. I have actually resisted buying certain products (think… Dell) for lack of a larger penis on the sponsor. Seriously, why would I want to buy a product when some freak with a Napoleon complex is trying to sell it to me? No Can Do.
Coke and Pepsi, and probably other soft drinks
Doritos
When I opened this thread the first time I really thought it was going to be satirical. I can’t imagine not noticing all the breasts in commercials, but I guess it does depend somewhat on what you are watching (who the target audience is.)
Along those lines, I’m thinking Britney Spears’ Pepsi ads (I mean she ain’t small chested) and, um, the Doritos 3D ad(s) that took place in a laundromat.
And let’s not forget the Levis commercial where the girl cut her jeans into shorts using a train. Granted, she was more leggy than busty, but still.
I’m small boned, and though I’m about 15 pounds over my “real” size right now (doesn’t sound like a lot, but being small boned, it’s A LOT), even at my goal size, they do NOT go away. I don’t know what bodyfat percentage I’d have to get down to to get rid of them, but I’ve been a size 6 and still had every ounce of my 32" triple D’s.
What you say about (paraphrasing) most big breasted women being fatter must be something bra manufacturers think too, because I’ll be damned if I can find a bra that is actually a triple D and less than 38 inches around the bodice.
I am a female with a 36f size chest. I wanted to respond to this post because some of what I read was just crazy.
To the one that quoted the study, stated big chested women are supposed to be immoral, not competent, not ambitious, stupid, and not modest because our breasts are to big…give me a break.
Also to the ones that say big breasts are only on plus size women, well there is more of us out there with natural big breasts that are not plus size. I am 5’9 and I weigh 150 lbs and I have natural big breasts.
I recall seeing a Singapore commercial of various men oogling a woman in a low-cut dress as she travels around town (mall, store, etc.) Shocking? The woman was no more than an A-cup.
It does in the movie industry. Jennifer Connelly and Christina Ricci had to buy their standing as Serious Actresses literally with pounds of flesh. Having breast reductions, in the strange calculus of Hollywood executives, proved their dedication to Art.
I once had a Russian girlfriend (a hot redhead with freckles and green eyes) who was quite thin (but not skinny) and nevertheless had lovely big breasts. She never wore a bra, which made her even more enticing.
On a more serious note, it appalls me that beautiful women like Jennifer Connelly and Christina Ricci would feel the need to subject themselves to any form of surgical mutilation. Whether a woman has lovely big breasts or pert little ones, natural is beautiful. Be proud of what you’ve got and flaunt it as best you’re able!
