I saw that ep. The mother didn’t feed the baby (she said) because the lactation counselor at the hospital told her that only bad mothers bottle-fed their babies. She tried to nurse and didn’t do it successfully. 2 or 3 weeks before the baby’s death she’d taken it to a free clinic and they told her he was okay. Basically, the poor kid starved to death because of ignorance and mis-information and in part because the girl just didn’t want to be tied down. I believe the mother was convicted of manslaughter.

Amen! I think CSI is the mentally defcient half brother of Law and Order. The very first episode I saw turned me right off (Something where a forensic scientist is convinced in the validity Spontaneous human combustion AAARRRRGGH!) My wife tunes it in once and a while and every time it ends she askes why we bothered to watch such a crummy show.
I like CI it reminds me of those seventies detective stories. I like the quirky characteristics of D’Onofrio. Sorry but I do.
The Original is still the best and I love comparing Stone to McCoy. It was Smart and brave move to replace a main character with someone so different in morals and attitudes. The ADAs that have come and gone never kept my attention much. Adam Schiff was a great character and is sorely missed from the show…
There’s an ER site that gives medical commentary on the episodes. Wasn’t there a similar one for Law and Order and other legal shows that gave legal commentary? I thought findlaw.com did it, but I can’t find it on the site anymore.
I am totally addicted to Law and Order. Although I can’t stand CI… This guy drives me insane always bending over and tilting his neck. He must have serious back/neck problem by now.
