Why are Trump and the Republicans polling better now?

Yes, because top legal minds don’t know better than to assume the end of an investigation before it’s been made public. Ri-ight.

I don’t need to list a source to say this, for about the umpty-thousandth time: THE INVESTIGATION IS NOT OVER YET. And all those, including Judge Dershowitz , who aren’t a part of the investigative team and say they know anything about what’s going on with it currently or what they have is talking through his ass as much as our unbeloved, ignorant, and irredeemable CiC.

Intellectual honesty my ass. He just wants another 15 minutes.

No, Mueller doesn’t have anything. Only indictments or plea deals with 17 people and 3 companies. And still going. Yeah, that’s nothing.

One other thing on Dershowitz. Evidence is fact, not opinion. No matter how much you try to fold, spindle, and mutilate it, I don’t care if he’s Og him/her/itself or Daniel Webster, it’s nothing but opinion. The FACT is that YOU’VE got nothing.

Dershowitz is defending Trump against criminal wrongdoing, eh?

Guess that puts Trump in the company of OJ and Claus von Bulow. Sounds about right.

Your side has had its panties in a perpetual twist for two years now about the POTENTIAL access to classified documents by virtue of them being on an insecure server. Where is your outrage over people who have not gotten and can not get security clearances seeing and handling the nation’s most sensitive documents, up to and including the President’s Daily Briefing?

silver lining isn’t accustomed to investigations that don’t leak like a sieve.
This is what a professional investigation looks like, not the clown show that goes on in Congress.

It was proven rather quickly that Clinton deleted 33,000 emails, lied about sending classified information, and more.

What has been proven here, and how much more time do you think Muller should have? If the investigation was just a few months old, okay, give him more time

He’s got NOTHING and I’m sure if he had SOMEHTING, it would be news by now.

Muller’s team is full of Clinton supporters, hardly unbiased. Most won’t read it here or accepts facts. So read it Running Coach, and tell which person mentioned on his team was anti Trump.

The Hill. Opinion piece. It’s amazing you can strike out on two pitches.
Again, provide proof the Clinton supporters are fabricating evidence. Otherwise, they’re just more motivated.

ETA:Go back and read post 142. Notice who cleared the team of political bias.

Meanwhile, from an impartial source (that is, a source that doesn’t sign tweets with #MAGA):

You didn’t quite answer the question, let me try again:

1- Jared Kushner sees the most sensitive intelligence that the US has. Yet he does not have and can not get a security clearance and is more than likely subject to blackmail. Does that concern you?

2- Let’s assume that Hillary deleted 33,000 emails. So what? If they had classified info, they aren’t liable to be hacked anymore, are they?

Do I understand you correctly in that you seem to be outraged that Hillary had sensitive information stored on her private server which has since been deleted and no longer vulnerable, but you have no concern whatsoever that Jared Kushner has access to everything, yet by the rules he should be allowed to see far less, if anything?

Starr had seven years of investigation. And managed to produce one indictment against one person. In less than nine months, Mueller has produced three indictments against a total of 16 people and three companies, and gotten plea deals with three others and a fourth is pending (Gates, who was named in one of the indictments.) And we’re not even deep into the inner circle yet, and it’s all been in the news. Sorry, you don’t get to claim he has nothing. I still want to know what your vested interest in ending the investigation is, seeing as it has clearly been successful and isn’t finished. You claim not to be a Trump supporter, but you sure as hell sound like one.

And I’m sure if the sky was green it’d be raining cats and dogs.

Meanwhile, back where we started…

Trump’s over-under on his approval rating jumped almost two points over the last few days.

I’m not sure why I’m bothering, but if you dig deep into the news you will find that Mueller has made the news a few times recently. Maybe do a Google news search for ‘Mueller’ and see if anything comes up.

If there is a jump in Trump’s numbers, I suspect it might have to do with producing an indictment where all the important goalposts have been significantly moved.

After hearing month after month about ‘collusion’ and ‘treason’ we get a dozen internet trolls charged

a) not tied to Russian government or Putin

b) not known to to Trump campaign

c) having zero measurable effect on the election.

538 Trump approval tracker.

Trump approval hit its all time low of 36.4% on December 16, 2017 and hit its highest point since early in his presidency of 41.5% on February 15, 2018. Since then it has dropped to where it stands right now at 40.6% on February 22, 2018. The indictment went public on February 16, 2018.

With these facts in mind do you still suspect that the jump in Trump’s numbers are due to the indictment?

Yeah it would probably take a couple of days for news to be reflected in polling results.
