I’ve been trying to postin in GQ all day, and I keep getting a “page not found” error. I can read the thread (and forum) OK, but I can’t post. I’ve never had this problem before. What gives?

Well, you’re probably right Ice Wolf. It’s just that 1) I’ve never really had this type of problem before, and 2) when I post in this thread, the post goes through almost immediately, but 3) when I post in GQ (and I’ve tried like 20 times), I get an error.
It’s weird, all right. Traffic shouldn’t be any different from one forum to another, no matter how busy each forum is, so – I dunno. Hope it works out soon for you, though. 
Not necessarily true that the forum doesn’t matter - the ForumID almost HAS to be a key on just about all the tables, so if posting involves a query including a “where forumid=x” SQL clause, the number of threads (or posts) that have to be considered at all may vary considerably (filtering on a table key is relatively easy. If there’s relatively little left - like in ATMB - things might work even if the DB is loaded. If there’s A LOT left to go through - like in GQ - you may be out of luck).

Ah, okay. That’s cool. I had thought that traffic problems, and therefore access slowdown, was fairly well spread across the board. Interesting! Thanks for that, Noone Special.
The board seems to move to each forum or post in a timely manner but it takes forever for the whole page to load.
OK, well it worked today first time. Slow, of course, and I’m getting the weird lack of picture icons mentioned in another thread, but the GQ post I made went right through.
