So my Twitter just blew up with this. Trump just arrived in DC unannounced, in a government jet, looking like he was just dragged off the golf course. Some people (on the somewhat flimsy evidence of the position of his hands) claim he’s been arrested. Others seem to suggest a trip to Walter Reed for a medical issue (is the care at Walter Reed really so good as to warrant an interstate trip? I thought most DC bigwigs, eg supreme court judges, go to Sibley)
What do the assembled dopers think?
The best suggestion in that Twitter feed is that he’s being traded to Russia for Brittney Griner and a third round draft pick.
I’m going to bed now, before the arrest theory is debunked. Pleasant dreams for at least one night…
It was quite a bold prediction by George Conway, I’ll say that. But it does fit the facts as we currently know them.

Biden has summoned him to receive his invitation to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth. In reality, Biden will show him the explicit directions from Buckingham Palace, as stated in the Queen’s last will and testament:
“Under no circumstances may that Orange Shitgibbon Trump attend my funeral. If he should try to crash it, I authorize the Palace Guard to shoot to kill.”
I just saw those pictures. It does look like he just blew in from the golf course. Who is that casually-dressed woman facing him with her back to the camera? Secret Service? She also appears to be wearing golf shoes. Is he wearing a CARDIGAN? Never seen that.
I really hope it was the DOJ telling him “You can either fly here immediately, or we have some folks waiting to do a perp walk with you in cuffs and the news services alerted. Oh, and you’ll travel from New Jersey to DC shackled in a bus with a bunch of other folks who’ve been arrested.”
Well, we should know soon. Someone will be following that vehicle to see where it ends up.

I have a hard time thinking he’s heading to Walter Reed. If you’re so frightened for your health that you can’t even change out of your golf shoes, why would you fly to Washington DC? Wouldn’t you just get yourself to the nearest hospital?

I must agree with this. Sometimes I worry about the toll it might be taking on the mental health of @Smapti, to channel The Donald so uncannily well.
I joked about that in the other thread, knowing full well that there are some sad and deluded people who would believe it’s the truth. The same ones who literally thought JFK Jr. would rise from his grave like Jason Voorhees to start murdering randy camp counselors; I mean coronate God-Emperor Trump.
Someone somewhere said they couldn’t see his hands so maybe they were handcuffed. The video I saw of him getting off the plane had his arms swinging freely, so no handcuffs, no perp walk.
There’s also reports of a medical emergency, although it can’t be that serious, since he flew to DC rather than going to local hospital.
