No, really: Why?

A good cut of meat is tasty in any done-ness. I prefer medium to medium rare but a well done steak is still delicious if it’s a good cut.

A bad cut of meat is just meh, no matter how it’s cooked.

I hear a lot of guys bragging about how rare the like their steak. Same for how strong their coffee, how hot their chilis, how cold their beer, and so on.

This could be, and its strange behavior, but it certainly occurs. I say eat what you like, but I have noticed that the people that really like their steak, tend to eat it less than medium. People that like their steak medium well, seem to not really have a passion for steak and would just as happily order chicken.

And, I’ve also noticed a preference for well done meat among the many black people I’ve eaten in my 65 years.

I for one am appalled at the notion of eating black people. And to think you’ve been doing it for 65 years.

One little four letter word, and I’m ruined for life.
Anyway, they do taste the same as white people do. just like chicken.

And no one suggested it was. While Mr. Brynner did indeed die of lung cancer, that has nothing to do with his having NEARLY died of trichinosis before that.

Irrelevant. Blackening is a modern technique developed by Paul Prudhomme.

The chefs among us may correct me if I’m wrong. But I think the blackened part isn’t about a degree of doneness and more from the kinds of seasonings used which give the meat a dark appearance.
