Being a victim of frequent insomnia, I have observed the following behavior ofour two dogs(male ESS, female AS):
-they generally sleep outside our beedroom door, but move around every 1-2 hours
-they frequently seepon the livingroom couch
-sometimes, they move to the kitchen-or the bathroom
=they seem to sleep in the same spot for about 1-2hours, then get up and move again
-when I get up, they will wake up and acknowledge me-but fall back to sleep
Given that our dogs get plenty of sleep, why do they like to roam around the house at night-are they guarding us? Or just bored?
It’s for the same reason that you change positions in your bed while you sleep. But for a dog, the whole house is the bed.
why do they like to roam around the house at night-are they guarding us? Or just bored?
Or keeping tabs on their territory. You think it’s your house. They know better.
