Strange…It’s not doing that to me.
Even stranger…now I can’t get into my profile. I was going to turn off the annoying “auto-sig” feature.
And now, if I try to edit my profile, it says:
"

Mommy, the board doesn’t like me.
Me too.
I got that at first when I tried to post, but it was because I had updated my email address to something current - if your address changes, you have to confirm reciept of an email from the board in order to be able to post again.
However, I just noticed that I can’t access my profile to reset the time offset. Dunno wassup with that, but I’ll bet it’s some administrative fine-tuning.
Here’s why profile editing is turned off for the moment
Looks like the default is set to show only new posts, too.
Can I post this time??? &%#(@*
Will I have to log in again???
Did you?
Enquiring minds wanna know!
So do nosey ones!

wolfstu, I had to re-add the main page to my “always accept cookies” list (with IE 6.026, it’s in the privacy tab of the internet options menu). Otherwise it didn’t recognise me or my newly changed password unless I logged in to reply to a thread.
I seem to have to log in for every post. I have set my browser to accept all cookies but no dice. Using Netscape 4.79 if that’s relevant.
Princhester, try going to your user control panel and under the options setting enabling the cookie option there.
I have. That doesn’t seem to be the problem. But thanks anyway.
;j
I’m not, actually.
just trying
Damn that yellow is annoying.
Also, if you use a proxy, such as Proxomitron, try to have the site bypassed. Works for me
The same question was asked in another thread. Please be patient. We will investigate the matter and report what we find.
It has happened to me also. But I thought it was only a minor annoyance to have to re-enter my username/password.
FYI, I had the same problem on the temp board. I had cookies enabled in every place possible but my pc wouldn’t accept them, no matter what I tried (IE 6.0.2). I then noticed that I couldn’t accept on other sites either. I ended up re-installing the OS, which wasn’t an easy decision. I then downloaded ALL available critical downloads and patches from the MS site. That fixed the problem completely.
A drastic solution but if you have everything backed up on your pc and a bunch of free time, it is an option.
Disclaimer: Do make sure you understand how to do this and really want to. It isn’t reversable.
