Why do people insist on being "nice" despite being told not to?

Oh man, those kind of people! :face_with_diagonal_mouth: I feel your pain.
I don’t generally eat at work, for various reasons, but it never fails that no matter how many times I say, “No thank you”, someone will show up at my desk and chirp, “I fixed you a plate!” I accept it with thanks, then pick at it until they look away and I can toss it in the trash.

A whole ham is a pain to store as it takes up an entire fridge/freezer; I totally get it Chefguy. What if the person already has enough food that they already plan to eat up - I see the inadvertent part of the imposition for sure. ‘The whoops I didn’t know’ part.
