When I spend any time driving on I-4 between Tampa and Orando I want to spread gloom and despair to all those
who drove like maniacs! I am talking about the lane changers with no blinker who are on their cell phone while eating a big mac and think they are supposed to straddle the yellow line, regardless of the traffic around them.
I am thinking about creating a mis-fortune cookie company- instead of " you will live long and prosper" it will be “for your bad driving, you will die a fiery death- or your SO will cheat on you with your mother…”
In the “giving them the benefit of the doubt” category, a lot of people haven’t had the life experience necessary for them to realize what total and utter bastards they are being.
They don’t know, personally, anybody that was injured in a car accident, or ever even had their car get scratched/dented up in a “minor” accident. They’re all relatively young (I’m guessing) and always had things go their way and just don’t know what they’re doing.
I feel your pain, Gypsy.
That road (and the people on it) has been the bane of my existence for as long as I’ve had a driver’s license.
I try to follow a few simple rules.
Pay attention. Don’t use the cell phone or pick out a new CD while driving.
Use your mirrors and check your blind spot, dammit!
And my biggest peeve: SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT!!!(except for you folks driving in Britain and such)
I try to drive in a way that causes as little imposition upon my fellow drivers.
If I’m passing, and someone comes up behind me, I either slow down and get over, or hurry up and pass. If you’re being overtaken, regardless of your speed, you ARE slower traffic. Keep right!
I don’t pull out in front of people unless I’m sure I can keep them from having to slow down, and I try not to crowd the person in front of me. Unless of course they seem to have forgotten that they’re actually on the road, driving.
Am I being unreasonable?
I admit I DO tend to drive a bit over the speed limit, but I look ahead, I try to anticipate what other drivers do, and I signal when I turn/change lanes/etc.
This wasn’t meant to be a rant. Just a few friendly suggestions for that guy that drove RIGHT NEXT to the tractor trailer going 55MPH from the last Disney exit all the way to Haines City with his left blinker on. :rolleyes:

looking for a different cassette tape
Frankly, driving the car just GETS IN THE WAY!

IMO, so many people suck because they are self-centered and only think about themselves. They seem to have no clue on how to consider others. How this became so prevalent, I have no idea.
Yep hits it on the head. Why won’t they get out of MY way?!?!? I need to get to work! I need to get rid of that tailgaiter on **MYb] bumper! I am driving the right speed, why can’t anyone else!?!?!?! You people make me sick!
