Why do you lie (verb)?

At work, I lie because I believe it is in the best interest of the company or it is the best interest of my employee.

In social situations, I lie to make/move conversations.

At home, I lie to keep the peace.

To myself, I lie to believe that is the only option available at this time.

I rarely lie to impress others or to inflate my value.

I have to lie, but believe that it is for the best.

Apparently I am a liar.

To put my foes off-guard, so that I may crush them upon the battlefield.

Having dealt with a big lie personally this year-I’ve mostly given up lying.
Oh if you ask me how your new haircut looks, instead of saying ‘marvelous’, I’ll say ‘Nice but I liked it better the old way.’
I don’t see any point in being unkind but I’m not into covering my ass or protecting people anymore either by lying.

Why should we believe you? :stuck_out_tongue:

To cover my butt (noun).

I NEVER lie. And you can ask my identical twin sister…er…Morgan Fairchild…yeah, that’s the ticket.

At work I lie when the truth would hurt.

What is this ‘social situation’ of which you speak?

I can’t remember the last time I lied at home so I couldn’t say.

To myself, unfortunately, I tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Me neither. But a little exxageration of the truth never hurts.

Who isn’t? (except a polititian)

Everything I say is a lie… Except for that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that. And that.
