Personally, I don’t like the idea of any woman for president because of the potential diplomatic problems with male-dominated cultures. Arabs, for example. But a woman who actually knows how to run an administration vs. an incompetent boob? No contest!
I’m just a stupid man. What is the point?
There have been plenty of national leaders who were women and male dominated cultures dealt with them just fine (Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi and Golda Meir leap to mind).
Sure, but we don’t need to give radicals another reason to bring their terror over here.
Really? You are afraid of gender terrorists?
Don’t be redundant and repetitive.
I’m about 5 miles from the White House. Any sufficiently pissed off group will seriously ruin my day.
Can you fart in their general direction for us please. Much obliged.
In their own words:
TL;DR version: “Librul tears haha!”
I agree with her on the overall tenor, but not necessarily on all the specifics. The part where Stormy Daniels is said to have “an instinct for self-promotion” and “her competitive streak is not well concealed"; I hear those sorts of things said about men, too, by those who are attempting discredit or defeat them. She is the protagonist of those accusations, even if they are an attempt to distract from her allegations against Trump.
That was excellent; thanks for linking it.
To answer the OP, the reasons I am often given for supporting Trump are*:
He understands real Americans, and doesn’t spend all his time catering to coastal elites.
He took the shackles off of business, and now the economy is booming.
He’s finally addressing our immigration problem by enforcing immigration laws.
He is aggressive toward our enemies, instead of rolling over and apologizing for America like Obama did.
He supports the police and the military instead of criminals.
He’s a strong, successful businessman who doesn’t take any crap from anybody.
Liberals (or “leftists”) hate what he’s doing, so he must be on the right track.
By the same token, if he’s doing the opposite of what Obama did, it must be good.
- Not that any of these are my opinions, but they do seem like an accurate reflection of things I’ve heard from people.
I’ll bite. The reply above does list out some of the reasons for people being drawn to Trump. I think it’s important to not dehumanize people if you are attempting to understand them. Seems obvious but labeling his supporters as rednecks, racists, bigots etc is quite the opposite. Trump supporters are an extremely diverse group of people that all like him for varying reasons. What got me into the box to get him elected was pretty simple.
- He had a strong platform on the ACA. I had worked in the insurance industry for years before and after Obamacare. I saw the changes, both with cost and availability. I won’t get into too many details but I hated what I saw. A specific example I use is selling people insurance and having them cry about being able to get it for the first time or without paying insane premiums. Despite not liking Obama, I was impressed and hopeful. 6 months later when doing a check up I saw the same thing every time. Entitlement. The same people crying on my shoulder months before are now telling me they shouldn’t have to pay 20 dollars more a month or that they forgot to pay it completely and shouldn’t have to go through the process of getting again, it should just be given to them. Many times in this case these people were paying less than 100 dollars a YEAR. It was such a stark turnaround.
Then you have the other end of the job with breaking people’s hearts at the 60-100k income range when I listed out the pricing options. There’s no way they can afford 3-5k a MONTH especially if they are single oddly enough.

Immigration enforcement and reform. I lived for a while in southern Texas near the border wall. I talked to numerous border agents, drove the wall on multiple occasions, and saw the impact illegals have on communities and businesses. It was not reassuring. I have gotten to know a lot of illegals throughout my life and they are generally good people just trying to make a better life for themselves. Do not act self righteous when claiming trump supporters hate Mexicans, illegals, etc. It pains me to think of these people I have enjoyed my time with potentially being deported but the facts are in. Without enforcement we are losing our asses as a country and I unfortunately have to consider both everyday. I trust someone like trump who has lived a life helping others as well as himself and his companies to make a better decision regarding the subject than myself.

Deep state and trolling. These two are connected in the sense that he has no patience for bullshit. He wants to rid America of the people that seek to destroy or cripple it from the inside. Even if it’s only one person I still agree with getting them out. He did this during the campaign by using troll tactics that I respect. He pushed back when attacked. He made use of his “art of the deal” bullshit to actually succeed. He had the entire media(yes including fox and fags) against him and it only got worse after primaries. He was willing to work hard and do countless record setting rallies and over the course of a single year got better and better at it. It was an incredible thing to see and by the time I got to the ballot box it was an easy choice.
These are personal to me and outside of the ACA he has begin work on everything else including some cherries like Korea and Isis.
If you cannot stop pointing fingers and using identity politics to categorize tens of millions, approaching 100 million people, then you can’t honestly expect to understand why he has such a following.
LOLOLOL. You a Klan member too?
Nice addition. I hope you are not of voting age.
You know the pit is a portal to the “deep state,” right? And you already failed the entrance exam by pointing out you voted for the tangerine groper.
Welcome. I hope you’re willing to discuss this.
Trump-opposers are also a diverse group, with a wide variety of viewpoints on a wide variety of issues. Be careful not to apply the de-humanizing brush to us as well.
I’m reading two things here. First up, that you liked the ACA platform he ran on. As stated, I did too. It was going to be cheap, available to everyone, easy to use, and not disqualify pre-existing conditions. It was going to be the best healthcare and we would have it immediately. We didn’t get that. We got measures that broke the existing system further, with nothing substantial implemented in its place. This is the opposite of what he promised.
Second, can you give me a rough percentage of the lower income people who were crying on your shoulder? How much of their income were they being asked to pay for healthcare (premiums + co-pays + amount insurance wouldn’t cover)? Same question for the middle class folks? My theory is that if you break it down, their relative costs are similar, and their complaints happened at the same rate. Some complaints made more sense to you than others. Possible?
I’d like to know which “facts are in”. Could you please expand on this? How are we “losing our asses as a country”? I would also like some examples on how Trump has lived his life helping others.
This is some interesting shit right here. Let’s start with the basics. Drop the “fags” bullshit you ridiculous cactus-fucking troglodyte. I’m hoping you’ll stay around long enough to actually contribute something.
Now, getting rid of “the people that seek to destroy or cripple it [America] from the inside” is a priority we can agree on. The key difference is you have an amorphous fear of unknown entities buried in the government who are working against the state because ?? Hail Hydra I guess? No, no, it’s the Illuminati. It’s obvious that we differ widely in our views on who is crippling the United States.
Moving on, you state that you approve of his troll tactics and that picking him was a no brainer. I see him bully, harass, and lie on a daily basis. I’ll put those in the “troll” bucket. You state that you admire that. Do you see that as desirable behavior in the leader of our nation? Do you begin to understand why people have a negative perception of many Trump supporters?
I don’t think we are using identity politics to characterize 63 million voters. I think that Fox and InfoWars would like to reduce it to that level.
I posted my response in answer to OPs question. I didnt come here to compare facts yet again. I posted to offer anecdotal experiences to a thread full of ridiculous assumptions. If OP actually wants to see reasons people like trump there are plenty of Google options available. This was merely an attempt to provide more personal details.
Most of my friends lean left and I am well aware that it’s easy to apply negative things to the other side. I don’t care what you think about my use of a word fags. This is the same as seeing trump lie, bully, and harass. Your perspective on the use of words and trump’s demeanor is indicative of the issue at hand. In the same breath of calling me a number of names all of which are not true(aka harassing, bullying, and lieing) you claim that I should be more careful with the use of fags, and that your perspective of trump is not worthy of his office. Then you extend that further to reflect on his supporters, half of which do not like his tweeting and “bullying.”
Do YOU see why no one would take your opinion on what the presidency should look like?
Based on your single post you are in fact the same as the Trump you attempt to portray and as a result do not like. This is classic projection and is why I am not interested in a debate. I was providing a perspective and that’s it.
Please do not breed. Seriously. Please don’t.
