Why does "stop" mean "stop" with IExplorer?

Heh. I am so damn smart I copied my text incase the Hamsters ate my post… which they did!

Original (hamster food) post:

Gah!

Title should read:

Why doesn’t “stop” mean “stop” with IExplorer?

u already recieved the source code and your browers is interpreting it
-PK

Because Internet Explorer sucks and you should use Mozilla/Phoenix instead?

No. It does not take even remotely that long for IE to render a page. The “stop” button in IE has simply never worked correctly, and it will continue to download ilayers and javascript-generated content whether you want it to or not.

I do that every time I post

Suh-weet!

If this kind of stuff is important to you, you might want to try out the latest Mozilla browser. It lets you block the loading of images from selected servers. For example, on a Yahoo page, there are usually ads at the top, served from a set of servers that all they do is give ad images. You just right-click and choose “Block images from this server,” and poof, you don’t have to wait for those to download any more. Plus the stop button seems to work.

By the way, the “ESC” key is the same as “Stop” in IE, Mozilla, and Opera, so you might try that if the button doesn’t work.
