Of course not. But the idea is that the neo-conservatives appeal to the Christian fundamentalist demographic in their support of Israel, thus having the consistent support of a large voting block (about 23%).

Some scholars believe that the pre-Islamic idol Hubal, a moon-related deity in the Middle Eastern pantheon, was elevated to Allah. Thus Robertson, like many fundamentalist Christians, believes that Allah is not the same as the Judeo-Christian Supreme Being, but a pagan imposter. (Robertson may not want to look too closely at the polytheistic origins of Judaism.)
