It seemed he stumbled into it by accident. I seriously doubt he ever intended to actually win.
But, you seem to think that being president only comes with a salary, and no other perks whatsoever.
The president has no power over how monies are spent, what contracts are taken, or what people are influenced, right?
Do you really think that he will only profit by $400k a year?
Now, if he actually set stuff up in a blind trust, and avoided conflicts of interest as every other president and elected official has done, you may have a point. As he has not, your point has absolutely no relevance.
Why do you think they would go against his wishes? His wishes will be to make money, and as long as he is making money, he won’t care what his cabinet does to enrich themselves at our expense.
His cabinet decisions will be questioned by everyone? Who? Who exactly can question his cabinet actions, and give him reproach over it. Congressional republicans? I think not. They’ll be too busy stuffing their own pockets, and implementing their provably failed supply side ideology, along with their regressive social policies.
No, I do not know who gave hillary 700 billion for her election fund. I had actually not heard of that at all before just now.
Please, let me know who gave her the better part of a trillion dollars for her campaign. A citation would go a long way towards eliminating my ignorance on this subject. (as well as google’s as a decently comprehensive search did not show that claim anywhere.)
Sanders certainly would be much better than trump, though I still think hillary would have been a better president than sanders.
Yes, of course it will. Just the same way that if you steal from neighbor’s house, burn it down, and overcharge them on the rebuild will improve the economies (sic.)
