On a hot day, my dog pants and licks her lips and nose, keeping them moist and slobbery. If I did that, I would end up with lips like cellophane (I’m not certain about my nose, as my tongue won’t reach that far). How come hers don’t get chappy? Is it for the same mysterious reason that a dog’s lips are black??
