I’m going to give this a try. I’ll try anything at this point.
The benedryl SeaDragon mentioned works great for me if I take it once in a rare while. If I take it too many nights in a row it wires me up and I never sleep at all.

The thing that always puts me out is starch. I am going to guess that the buns at Wendy’s are significantly different from what you use at home.
Skip the burger, and just go out and drive for a while. If that makes you sleepy, check your car’s exhaust. It’s carbon monoxide that’s making you sleepy.
So, if the car is doing it, Sefton should just sit in it, idling, for a few minutes around bedtime? Using a good, loud, kitchen timer?
No I doubt that is the beef at Wendy that making you sleepy it most likely is the chemicals Wendy’s put in it food ! I had one of their salad and got a horrible headache from some kind of chemicals that was on the veggies to keep it
'fresh ’ looking . I know of someone else that also got a horrible from their salad too.
It’s probably not the burger. How do you order them, with the normal fixings? Are you getting fries with that? What else do you eat? When do you do this? Any old day, or only after work for instance?
I think** Johnny Bravo** has pointed out something important, it’s a ritual, change the situation and you won’t get tired the same way. It’s not just mental, the different situations could slow down or speed up the digestion process, even delaying it for some time before it starts.
Also, Wendy’s burgers are fairly lean, but the meat is not finely ground, which could change your digestion process.
Yip. Having a sleep ritual (that you do an hour before bed) is actually really important thing they teach insomniacs. As is getting up if you’ve been trying to sleep for more than 20 minutes. The suggestion is to do something that is not too stimulating, and to avoid bright lights. Reading is a common suggestion.
But not in bed. You must get up. The bed is for sleeping. (And maybe sex.) It’s psychological conditioning, so you associate your bed with sleep.
