You certainly don’t want to go down the road of copying and pasting posts from that trainwreck (and its spin offs), if you want folks to keep on seeing you as a legal expert who is adept at analyzing facts in a logical and fair-minded way. I was actually being kind to you by not posting any links to that thread, and then here you go and did it yourself. Oh well. Hope that works out well for you.

Interestingly enough, Evil Economist, who appears to know something about Bayes’ Rule, has started a thread to comment on the statistics. Hee offered the link above and I’ll repeat it here.

IF all other things were equal, such that the ONLY observable factor differentiating the two were race - which means that we eliminated all hidden codependent variables as causes - THEN, and ONLY THEN, could we say that there is some probative value to it, slight though it might be.

Is that a correct statement?

As written it’s correct (provided that God parted the heavens, leaned down, and whispered “8%” in your ear); if this is as far as you went in that thread, then it was a mistake to link back to your postings (maybe it was **Huerta88 **who was saying wrong things?).

He goes on to say it doesn’t add much in the way of useful information, because we DID know more than just that – a point I never disputed.

Anyway, if you would like to argue the point of the accuracy of that statement with someone who appears to have a solid understanding of statistics, please join the discussion in that thread.
