Wow! Borderline pit fodder!
I’ve driven all over this country and in England, too.
I confess a partiality to either British or German iron. I currently own 3 different model Volkswagens, a Mercedes an MG, a Kawasaki KZ1000J motorcycle, and our minivan, a Dodge Caravan which we love.
I’ll echo another post and just say that their aren’t any vehicles on the road these days that aren’t international in construction. My Rabbit is an example.
Brakes: Canada
Body: USA
Head: Brazil
Electronics: Japan & Germany
And those are just the parts I know about.
I had a Harley rider insult my bike one day, saying he wouldn’t own anything foreign.
After I pointed out to him that he would have to remove his ignition system, forks and brakes, the light turned green and I left him in the dust.
I buy whatever I want regardless of country of manufacture. If you want me to buy American, then produce something that’s worth buying; If you’ll note my vehicles above, I walk the talk in this regard.
I happen to dislike Fords particularly. I like their styling, interior layouts and colours, but the their build quality is questionable, and their after sales service is abysmal.
They are ok if you intend to trade them in every couple of years or so, but I wouldn’t have one longterm on a bet.
Patron Saint of All Things Hot and Fiery …
I’ve performed a complete diagnosis of your car. It’s broken.
