well, i hate hondas because these goofy bastards put all this money into a 4 banger and rims and tires and crap like that, but if they just put the money that they used for acessories for the honda, they could have bought american. likea 5.0 mustang, it handles better, and is twice as fast(havent been beat by a rice burner yet) it really pisses them off when i beat them,
Uh, yeah, and in 6 years theirs will be running perfectly and you will have a hunk of shit.
But you beat them when you race. That’s what matters
Not all Honda owners are like that…
Don’t hate a Honda because of certain owners think that it’s cool to put a bunch of shit on their cars…I own a 93 4door Accord, all stock.
It’s rarely washed, never had an oil change in the 3 years I have had it and it still runs like a purring kitten.
As a former Chevy owner, and a family that has had nothing but lemons from Ford, consider your Mustang something I hate. Not because of the drivers or whatever but that Ford has a bad repair history.
Hmmm, I see this as potential PIT material, not bad for your few few posts.

“You guys are outta your league…You’re looking at a woman who has her own harpoon!”
It’s going to be running like a flea-infested alley cat hacking up a furball if you don’t start changing that oil, girlfriend.
“My hovercraft is full of eels.”
That’s Priceless. Great Page. And for the OP, I didn’t mean to give you the impression that I like that crap (lowered cars, rims, decals, etc…) My point was, I’ll take a factory Accord over a factory Mustang, any day.
And fer god’s sake, Tek…change that oil.
Have 120K on my Honda. The only after factory add-on is my stereo (I require good sound. Life is too important for a bad soundtrack.) I will never beat a mustang 0-60, but I will beat any mustang on the road for repair and gas charges over 150,000 miles. Hell, most of them ponies will drop out of the race long before the finish line.
The best lack all conviction
The worst are full of passionate intensity.

If handling and performance are your major issues, I’m surprised you didn’t mention some European cars. Show me the affordable American car that can out-corner my boy-racer Peugeot, and I’ll buy it. The handling of most Japanese cars is poor, I’ll give you that.
well, i would have, but i was mainly talking about the cheeseyness of the hondas, and i htink my mustang is a little cheaper than most euro sports cars
you know what? i feel honored that people with so many posts took the time to reply to my stupid little post which is actually my first attempt, oh, and handling is not my primary concern, it is horsepower and straight line acceleration. personally i am a barracuda aficianado, 426 Hemi Baby!
No offense, but any fool can go fast in a straight line. Isn’t it a bigger challenge to see where the limits of a car are in cornering? That’s true excitement for me.
yeah, its fun to see how well your car can corner, like coastal highway 101, or highway 299 to eureka (california) but it does take quite a bit of knowhow and skill you get your car to perform on the 1/4 mile. but hey, i am NOT saying that my mustang is the end all to speed and handling, its all i have, but its still a blast and it can blow away the rice boys. i have a car i am working on that will run with the fastest street cars once i get it done.
there was a young lady named bright

she departed one day

and returned the previous night.
I’ve only owned one car in my life, and it was the best car imaginable. A 1987 Acura Integra, which I bought in 1994 when it already had almost 100,000 miles on it. In the 5 years I owned her, I put more than 120,000 more miles on her, averaged 36-40 miles per gallon (I know, people who care about speed don’t give a crap about economy), STILL got up to some really great speeds, and never had to replace so much as the alternator. My family started out buying only American cars, but in the last 12 years we’ve owned various Hondas and will NEVER go back. The record in our family was a 1983 Accord which lasted for over 300,000 miles. My old girl? As far as I know she’s still running; I sold her last year when I made my cross-country trip in a bus. If I ever get a car again, it will either be a Honda or a European car. None of this American crap for me.
I was conceived in a gas station bathroom.
you are a un- american pig dog, i bet you sided with the clintons on this elian fiasco. kiss my ass and go away, america does not want you any more
Yeouch, Fnord. Why is buying a Honda un-American? Do you know where they’re manufactured?
And, frankly, bringing up the Elian crap is just plain silly. My take has always been to send the poor kid back. Imagine- if an American child had been kept even an hour against his father’s will in Cuba, how many bombs would our country have dropped on Cuba? Sheesh.
I’m American born and raised but also have my eyes wide open to what kind of country this is.
I was conceived in a gas station bathroom.
I own a Honda and am partial to Hondas. My 1990 Accord has 145,000 and is still running just great. Still has the power it had when i first started driving it, 5 years ago and about 80,000 miles ago. Most of my family owns Hondas/Acuras. I plan on purchasing a brand new car (my first!) as soon as I get a job lined up after my internship…and it’s definitely going to be Japanese.
“I am so smart, I am so smart, s-m-r-t, i mean s-m-a-r-t”
Your Mustang goes fast. So what? Any dumbshit with a few dollars can buy a fast car.
Okay for the record.
Very rarely can you find an American vehicle without foriegn parts.
Very rarely can you find a foreign car without American parts.
So quit your whining about “non-American” cars.
Even your precious FORD manufacturer has Mazda parts and vehicles on it’s lots…wish I could remember exact models as it’s been a while since I was involved in the racing and automotive industry but the line is very blurry anymore.
Sheesh.
I have an Acura (high end Honda). And I must say I love it. I have taken perrrfect care of it and it looks like and performs like it is a brand new car, even though it is 9 years old. Jap Engineers kick ass! I can do 0-60 in 6 seconds. I can beat Vipers and Mustangs. I think i’m gonna go drive now.
Techchick says:
NEVER HAD AN OIL CHANGE! You are either kidding or dumb. In my opinion the most important part of the car is the engine and you must take care of it, cuddle it, make sure it is getting enough Oxygen and is frictionless…
Come to my place i’ll give you an oil change, but you’re gonna have to put out.
