Why I hate the Left AND the Right

God, I missed being able to use the BBQ pit. I finally broke down and bought an account.

Ok let’s get down to business:

Why I hate both:
For acting like they are two parties,
For being half an ethos
For carrying on the feud of Jefferson and Hamilton for 200+ years
For having all the bigotry of Jefferson and none of the Charm of Hamilton
For having Jefferson’s idealism only when it suits them
For having Hamilton’s Pragmatism almost never
For not giving a fuck about Free Speech, not to mention the rest of the bill of rights
For not acknowledgign fascism is the only form of big goverment possible
For manifesting the worst attributes of every society rather than the best
For the drug war
For being so suburbanized that they can’t tell the difference between a black kid in a hoodie, and a carjacker.
For not representnig the people unwilling to be schizophrenic with them.

Why I hate the left: For being dumb
Why I hate the right: For being mean

Why I hate the left:
For not knowing the difference between “Tolerance” and “Understanding”

For making political discourse impossible

For making important issues seem silly

For making spiritual and environmental issues into “Hippy bullshit”

For being more interested in screaming at the whitehouse or NYPD than coming up with sustainable models to accomplish their goals.

For wanting the government to DO EVERYTHING

For blaming the Free Market for all of our problems when the things they are bitching about are issues related to the fact that WE DON’T HAVE A FUCKING FREE MARKET!!! (The WTO forcing someone to trade isn’t a free-market practice)

For fighting for socialized medicine, when if they got together and developed a stable non-profit model for it, then I’d be insured without the government subsidizing it.

For thinking the Bush administration doesn’t have a long-term plan. (Come on people read the fucking art of war)

For not reading the “Art of War” because they are against “war”

For not thinking the French blowing up the Rainbow Warrior is fucking hilarious. Stupid French, Stupid Greenpeace

For acting like they care every time someone they don’t know dies.

For activists cliques that ensure that they never accomplish anything because they don’t embrace the new people, alienating them instead.

For not realizing Anarchy and Socialism are at opposite ends of the spectrum

For being fascinated by socialism, but not sharing

For Michael Moore

For Demonizing the Right by talking about Guns

For thinking they are the “intellectual class” when it seems like the Right outsmarts them again and again.
Why I hate the right:
For having the most unattractive pundits imaginable (Though I’d LOOOOVE to spite fuck Ann Coulter)

For not realizing that Muslims hate us because we bomb them and not because we are Americans.

For not realizing that “Not being on top” is not equal to “Being on the bottom”

For perverting Christ’s teachings for their own satanic agenda, not willing to recognize that most of the New Testament is Roman propaganda.

For not realizing that the US military is the biggest consumer of oil in the entire world and is depleting the reserve of oil as fast as it can be dominated.

For not looking past the “hippy bullshit” aspects of modern spirituality and environmentalism and not realizing that being centered in oneself and being able to breathe and drink water are worthy goals.

For trying to enforce democracy on other countries and theocracy on our own.

For not adapting to the decline of the nation state with grace and poise

For not realizing that the powers that be, ARE NOT CHRISTIAN

For demonizing the left by talking about Abortion

For not earmarking money for education and health care because they are “Welfare” but spending billions on weapons.
Sorry all, I tried to make this funny, but it’s not, I’m just angry and bitter.

Love,
Shnoogy

Mswas

Along with the crown, I hand you the sceptre and the robe. Thank you. And thank God.

One thing you may have accomplished with this post – you may have brought right and left together as brothers, so that we may say in united voice: “Huh?”

I hate the center.

Damn wishy-washy centrist!

But that’s the creamy and delicious part!

To be a centrist presupposes the very thing he rails against – that they are two distinct parties. If the Demopublicans or Republicrats or whatever are perceived as identical, how can one be a centrist between them?

To continue the Zen-like comment, if a man casts a vote via a computerized voting machine that prints no paper record of his vote, does it really count?

But where does the OP stand on the Up and the Down? That’s the important question, IMO.

The important question is, whose left and right are we using? Your left? My left? Stage right? Camera right? Left Behind? Right of way? This all gets so confusing. Isn’t this why we invented cardinal directions?

Speaking as a proud member of the Six Miles Due Northeast, I demand to know mswas’ position regarding my position. (Hint: it’s below New Jersey, but west of Prague).

What makes you think he’s centrist? Aside from left and right, there are libertarian and authoritarian.

Hey, give that back!

Personally, I hate em both because they both seem to be more interested in gaining and maintaining power as opposed to actually representing the voters.

I hate them for not having the balls to make the difficult choices and simply taking the options that seem to be most politically expedient.

I hate them for turning politics into a knock down drag out bitchy slappy hissy fit.

I hate them for handing us shit with a smile on their face.

To be perfectly honest, I’m sick of the whole bloody mess.

And I wind up hating the right more for bowing to the religious masses and letting them impact policy, but that’s just because I am an old crank.

That depends. What county in Florida are we talking about and were they votes for Buchanan?

Oh, probably one step forward, two steps back.

To the OP: You really need to watch The Simpsons. They summed up your lengthy OP in two sentences (party slogans):

DEMOCRATS: WE CAN’T GOVERN

REPUBLICANS: WE’RE JUST PLAIN EVIL

Maybe this is why I’m a conservative. I prefer competent evil to well-intentioned meh. I agree both sides are cactus fucktus though.

Amen, sister/brother.

I was torn by the presidential election despite being a Kerry supporter. Living in NYC during the RNC, I absolutely loathed those sniveling Kerry supporters screaming “police brutality” despite being gently arrested for blocking roads as much as I hated the Bush supporters who were out there with their intentionally nasty “look how mean we are” counter protests.

And, unfortunately, a candidate who feels as the OP is completely unelectable.

Anyone who thinks not being a democrat or republican makes one a centrist may as well also think that not being a catholic or protestant makes one a muslim.

What I hate is people who are so determined to show how noncomformist and free-spirited they are that they always present the two parties as being precisely morally equivalent.

Like blaming America first and wanting to solve all problems by throwing money at them rates precisely 8.5/10 on the Scale of Badness. And being racist, homophobic and starting a war on false pretenses, why, kiss my grits, that also happens to rate 8.5/10 on the Scale of Badness. What a fortuitous coincidence! Why, now I can maintain my utter impartiality, along with the erection-inducing sense of self-righteousness it gives me!

Then go suck it out.

No, we think it makes them a Hindu!

Jeez, lighten up already!
