October, 2014 - my friend Jake unexpectedly takes his own life
November, 2015 - my friend and mentor Gerald passes away about a week after a particularly bad heart attack.
Early December, 2015 - my friend Daniel is killed in the San Bernardino massacre
Yesterday, November 2016 - my old friend Jason dies of complications of heart disease (he was 46; he has had heart/lung issues all his life, and they eventually were unable to operate on him anymore)
Autumn is not going well for me lately. That’s not counting Leonard Cohen’s death and the goddamn election.
