No, it’s failing b/c it’s puking execption b/c it’s NULL @ line 224792, b/c you assumed w/o opening up source it was cool to set a const L as WChar. <?> I know you’re an intern, but check it out: everything, including your hosebuild fuckup, is alien (to you) in PPT everywhere. Including, in your specific assignments, coreinit.cpp, sldedt.cpp and ssshow.cpp.
Advice: ask questions w/o suggestions about how we can improve. And know your audience. For example, seven people in the training room yesterday are credited in the C++ book we used in the course. Including me. The man delivering this training? Drew? That’s Andrew Koenig.

It wasn’t my lefthandness (is that a word?) that I was complaining about - it’s the SD search engine. Everyone else seems to be able to use it with success and pride (‘there, there Nine: we’ll find it for you’), but to me, it’s a mystery. Put in some words and I get thousands of responses, all irrelevant. It doesn’t seem to respond to search commands I know: +, “”, AND, OR etc.
In fact - I pit the SD search engine.
Great, now I don’t know what was so good about Morbo’s reply. 
Can someone summarize?
With the removal of Morbo’s post, this still works.

Actually, it looked like something that was intended for a co-worker (computer stuff and names). It wasn’t on point for this thread.
In order to make itself valid as a free being and to obtain recognition, self-consciousness must exhibit itself to another as free from natural existence. This moment (i.e. the being-for-another) is as necessary as that of the freedom of self-consciousness in itself. The absolute identity of the Ego with itself is essentially not an immediate, but such a one as has been achieved through the cancelling of sensuous immediateness, and the exhibition of the self to another as free and independent from the Sensuous. Thus it shows itself in conformity with its comprehension (ideal), and must be recognised because it gives reality to the Ego.
But Independence is freedom not outside of and from the sensuous immediate extant being, but rather as freedom in the same. The one moment is as necessary as the other, but they are not of the same value. For the reason that non-identity enters - that to one of two self-consciousnesses freedom passes for the essential in opposition to sensuous extant being, while with the other the opposite occurs - with the reciprocal demand for recognition there enters into determined actuality the mediating relation (of master and slave) between them; or, in general terms, that of service and submission, in so far as this diversity of independence is extant through the immediate agency of nature.
