OP I don’t like him one bit, even if I were a Republican I would not give my vote to him. He is just unlikable and to me he sucks donkey nuts.
Give me Donald Trump any day of the week. He is more honest and likable than Chris Christie.

This right here. Why do they run, well at least Christie has much more support in his state than Bobby Jindal.
Jindal sucks even worst, however unlike Chris Christie he is not a bully, an authoritarian windbag.
It’s ironic that Christie is basing his campaign on telling it like it is, but when he was asked on a radio show just a few days ago if he was going to declare he was running this week, he waffled like a pancake house, insisting he hadn’t decided yet. The fucking announcement video was probably already on the shelf, yet he couldn’t bring himself to honestly state he was going to run.
Indeed ironic, “Telling It Like It Is” is more suited for Donald Trump.
I might be careful about passing his event horizon, but I don’t see Christie as anything to be afraid of.
The NYT and I… sharing a POV… and fighting on the same side?
“Now, what would be the odds of that?”
Not afraid. Just don’t like his personality, his failed leadership in New Jersey, and his views on a bunch of issues. He’s still not completely off the hook for BridgeGate, and he certainly doesn’t come across well in Game Change, a great behind-the-scenes book on the 2012 Presidential campaign.
Well not if we can’t make fat jokes.
I’m not afraid of him. But that’s me. He reminds me of coke-heads I’ve had the misfortune to know. He’s a double-bag: A wind bag-douche bag that has less credibility than a meth-addict used car salesman.
He is loud, I’ll give him that. When loud and threatening and senseless count for anything, he’s gonna be right there!!
“Blame?”
The Dems are afraid of Christie. He’s a real person, with personality, and is relatable to ordinary Americans.
Keep an eye on Christie. He may cast a long shadow in 2016.
In 2008, we were told we were terrified of Palin. In 2012, we were… actually, I don’t remember much about that clown fest, though I know we were told we were terrified of someone.
A couple of days ago, I read that we are terrified of Donald Trump.
It’s weird that I always thought that emotion was called “incredibly amused, though baffled.”
You misspelled “wide”.
I’ve NEVER believed Christie’s schtick of “calling it like it is.” It has always been for me an obvious attempt to distinguish himself and gain political attention, and Moran’s article doesn’t surprise me at all. Moreover, even before the GWB thing I was kind of expecting something to happen that would expose his act, and that the country at large would eventually start to see through him (as the polls indicate is happening).
Thank you for pointing out a perfect example of his bullshitting true self. I saw that and was thinking the exact same thing.
I don’t think Trump cares enough to believe in what he says. He just starts off with the rhetorical premise that the country is going to hell in a hand basket, and then says things to illustrate it off the top of his head almost. The only real difference between Trump and Christie is that Christie has been crafting and basing his whole political future on this persona, while for Trump it’s more of a game for the moment.
Don’t have much use for either, but if forced, at gunpoint, to spend a couple of hours with Christie or Trump, I’d pick Christie.
He’s shown some rare moments of decency, whereas I think Trump is a critter-coiffed bloviating cauldron of ebola-infested fecal matter.
But you know that’s what Trump is. With Christie, you can never be sure when it’s an act.
Better the rattlesnake you can see than the one you can’t.
Why do Republicans always insist that Democrats are “afraid” of every Republican politician? We’re not as motivated by fear as you guys are.
So you voted for Obama, I take it?
Eh, I’m no Christie fan but with campaign finance laws the way they are right now there’s a clear and distinct reason candidates are cagey about announcing before they “announce.” It’s why Jeb spent months saying “If I run…”.
