The word “wrong” doesn’t mean anything. She’s too young to comprehend the long range consequences of actions, and she hasn’t developed the same impulse control as an adult yet.

Sure. I think there should be *no set age *at which a person is too young to possibly be mistaken for being over the legal age of consent. Kids are entering puberty younger and younger. It should be *up to the jury on a case-by-case basis *to decide whether or not the person accused of statuatory rape might have reasonably believed that the minor they had sex with was of legal age.

This is fucking ridiculous. You think a guy should be able to try to convince a jury that a FIVE year old looked like an adult?

I’d also like you to actually address the scenario that was actually posed by the OP: a woman who looks and acts 21 and has the ID to prove it. Regardless of whether or not you think that’s possible :rolleyes: (even though you have a bunch of people here telling you it is and has been).

She would not look 21, nor would she have the ID to prove it, but just for the sake of argument, I don’t care. The guy still raped a child. The liability is all his. I say give him life without parole and chemical castration. I’m not kidding.
