Why is it so hard to find a husband?

Other than calling myself strikingly pretty, as I read this, it was like you were writing about me…Oh and I am only 28  And for the record I am working on dating younger men of any income.

I am not looking for a “husband”. I would settle for some good dates. But I am not a big barfly ( I like a drink, just not 12 in 3 hours like most of my girlpals)

People always tell me, “…you are the sweetest person ever! I cannot believe you are not married…”
I dont even know if I want marriage…but when I was just out of college it seemed I had lots of dates. Know it seems most single men have simply decided they want to hit on the 21 year olds and the bar and take them home for one night.

I am not interested in such.

My wife’s best friend from college is reasonably attractive. 20 years back she was going out with two guys, one older and rich, with a Rolls, and the other younger, not rich (but not poor) but very nice. I always thought the older guy was a rat. I was right. When after five years or so she finally pressed him for committment, he dumped her and got married a few months later. But it was her fault - she didn’t want to start out with someone at the bottom, she wanted the good life right away. She was a bit scornful that when we got married I was just a grad student. She finally married a very nice teacher her own age, but spent a lot of years as an unhappy single from being too picky about money and status.
