Why is this allowed? (relating to searching)

You can’t do a search and or a new post request twice or a combination thereof in the span of two minutes.

I just figured out that I can do a new post request and then find all my recent threads immediately following.
Not possible if you use the search function, but if I click on my username and then do a “find all posts by Uncommon Sense” request I’m allowed to.

Why am I allowed to circumvent the 2 minute search rule in this manner?
Won’t anybody think of the hamsters?
Pie!

I suspect this thread to be dele…

I guess you’re lucky because when I couldn’t reproduce what you described. I can’t find all posts by me and do another search in a span of 120 seconds.

Uncommon Sense, at risk of breaking this whole friggen board, please try to do two “New Posts” searches in a row. Even though I’m usually online in the early/late hours it takes me more time to catch up on new content rather than hit “New Posts” again repeatedly looking for new stuff.

Ah, I suspect there’s been a patch.

I was able to do it twice before I posted the thread and now I can’t seem to duplicate the task.
Shucks, shouldn’t have started the thread!

I suspect that you just got lucky and hit the server when it was relatively idle and didn’t have much of anything to do but cater to your needs. Never lasts long, though, dangit.

Only cause it’s always tasked with finding ever better sources of chocolate for someone who will remain unnamed… :stuck_out_tongue:

Waitaminnit-the server does catering now? Cool!
I’m having twenty five people over for a meeting on Saturday. Could I get a tray of buffalo wings and a six foot sandwich delivered?

Waiter! What’s this hamster doing in my soup?

Swimming laps.

Just be glad it’s not a hare.

Of course the answer is…the backstroke!!.

Waiter, what’s hamster doing in my bowl?
Stewing, sir.
