I don’t think I’ve seen a campaign committee organized as a corporation before. Trump’s is incorporated in Virginia and registered as a non-profit in New York. His committee is DONALD J. TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT, INC.
Clinton’s, on the other hand, is not incorporated. Her committee is HILLARY FOR AMERICA.

Anyway, I’ve organized campaign committees on the local and state levels and have reviewed (in the past) hundreds of campaign committee organization statements/registrations. I’ve never seen an incorporated committee.
My initial reaction was that it was for liability reasons, but I have a feeling that it has something to do with finances.
What are your thoughts?
