When I’m reading the boards on my mobile device, it’s very easy to accidentally click on links. If I accidentally click “subscribe to thread” I get another chance to abort the operation. Hove er if I accidentally hit “unsubscribe” that’s all she wrote and often I haven’t even gotten a chance to note which thread I’ve unsubscribed from.
You’re right, but it’s two clicks to subscribe because you have to specify what kind of subscription notification you get. It’s nothing to unsubscribe but turn it off. So it’s just one click.
Sorry.
So that would be three clicks if you unsubscribed and resubscribed?
I’ve always wondered why manually subscribing to a thread doesn’t just use your default subscription method. I’m set up so that I’m automatically subscribed to any thread I post to, as soon as I hit ‘post reply’ it subscribes me with no email notification. Yet if I manually subscribe to a thread I have to choose my subscription method.
I’ve always just assumed the two different ways were added at two different times in VB history and that they don’t share a subroutine. I can’t imagine I’m the only person who’s thought about this so I have to assume some day they’ll clean it up.
Unfortunately for us all vB is not so good about user convenience… I don’t see any way to do this currently, sorry.
