Fortunately, to the best of my recollection we have not had threads in which people have discussed their ongoing murder sprees. I suppose if that became a common occurrence we might be prompted to make a rule against it.
Against murder, or against talking about it?
Wait a minute! He’s banned now. What was the final straw?
I must say… a tremendous resource gone.
So, rule of thumb. How many people can we murder before it’s a “spree”? Are we okay with like, say, six?
Just asking hypothetically before the next two full moons.
Let’s settle on some definitions. A spree killer is one who kills a relatively large number of people in a relatively short time. See Charles Starkweather, who killed eleven people in about 2 months. Or, it you prefer, Charles Whitman, who killed 16 people in one day.
Serial Killers like Charles Albright and Charles Sobhraj typically kill with a lesser frequency.
The only thing they have in common is being named Charles, and I suggest we ban anyone with that first name.
I’ve seen multiple murderers also split into three categories. Serial killers, who kill multiple people over a long period of time; mass murderers, who kill a bunch of people at once in a short period; and spree killers who kill multiple people, generally in more than one place over a fairly short period of time.
This thread has drifted way off target … and the target no longer posts here, so I’m going to ask you to move this discussion to a more appropriate thread in a more appropriate forum, please.
And I’ll close this one, as it is not an ATMB issue.
