Why isn't Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction" number one?

I want back all of the tens seconds I wasted listening to it.

The song is awful.

The vocal effect, I believe, is a vocoder trick, but is essentially the same one made notorious on Cher’s “Believe,” and here’s how it was done:

So that album is actually getting a release in North America? I don’t understand why it took so long. Good thing for her so much of it is so good that her 2005 songs will sound ten times fresher than most of the hit pop songs being released here this year. I love “With Every Heartbeat” so hard.

I really enjoy Snoop’s new one too. I appreciate artists that release songs that groove and make you feel good.

I’ve been meaning to start a thread here for weeks on how much that song sucks. It sounds like something Eddie Murphy or Dave Chapelle would make as a parody of an 80s R&B song.

Here’s what I did. Nothing quite small enough to swallow…

I listen to a lot of rap music. Old Skool, underground, east coast, west coast, hip pop, dirty south, gangsta, turntablism, alternative… all of it. I consider myself a minor expert in the field of music, rap in particular. And my informed opinion is that this song does in fact suck donkey dick.

Try Lupe Fiasco instead.

Dear lord that’s bad. I kept waiting for something that would make me think it should even be considered for a top hit, and well, I just kept waiting.

My radical guess would be that six songs had more sales and/or airplay.

(Also, I have heard from a reliable source, ie the other posters in the thread, that the song sucked donkey dick)

Since this thread is here - I don’t listen to very much rap, and have never like Snoop Dogg. But I was riding in my brother’s car a couple of weeks ago, and found myself really liking a song that I was startled to discover was his, and apparently a fairly recent one. It sounded more like a electronica/pop mix then a rap song. And it was NOT “Sensual Seduction”. Does anyone have any idea what is was?

Heh. The only Snoop song I ever liked.

Thats a horrible horrible song and i say that as a huge Snoop fan.

I’m pretty sure that ‘beat’ is program #28 on my Casio keyboard.

What a horrible song.

Snoop still puts out some good songs every now and then, but this ain’t one of them.

Because “number one” is usually reserved for good songs.

Not always, but this drudge didn’t deserve to break the top 100.
