Why isn't the media tearing McCain apart?
What’s your point? If he gets elected, it won’t be an honest reflection of the will of the people, but the result of an MSM propaganda campaign?
And if he doesn’t will it be “an honest reflection of the will of the people” or will it be the result of racist Willie Horton ads?

BTW… have you noticed the blatant racism of the Democrat primary voters recently; both white and black? I thought Chris Mathews was going to cry last night.
For one thing, “MSM” could do with a bit of clearer definition.

That’s something we can agree on!

I’ve heard it referred to as the “legacy” media. Basically every media outlet before cable… all the networks, the biggest newspapers and the news magazines. They clearly monopolized the news back then and they could afford to be more subtle in their biases.

The earliest cable outlets were able to be almost as subtle. Then conservative talk radio and Fox News came on the scene to begin balancing things and the legacy media now feels more comfortable in being more obvious in their biases.

Just my humble opinion of course…

Only in West Virginia. What exactly are you talking about?
MSNBC ran a few interviews today asking various political people if Michelle Obama is fair game because of her “…first time in my adult life I’ve been proud of my country.”

Every one of them replied that Mrs. Obama is fair game, and as you know there’s even a state GOP arm running an anti-Michelle ad on the subject. (TN, I think.)
Well, as long as it’s fair game, then this repeated quote should be held to the same level of scrutiny: “I really didn’t love America until I was deprived of her company.” It’d be interesting to see if this gets the same amount of press as what Michelle Obama said.

I think McCain will get his share of coverage on Hardball, Countdown, and Hannity & Colmes.
