Why nothing in the U.S. press about Denis Kireev?

A Ukrainian who was part of the negotiation with Russia was killed. Reports say he was killed by Ukrainian police. I see this in a couple of British and one Israeli source online. Why there no mention of this in the U.S. press? Are these outlets rushing to report before the facts are confirmed?

Here’s an American based article from the date of his death:

The Epoch Times is not an American news source. It’s a propaganda outlet for far-right Chinese opposition forces, published in English and fronted by a few Western faces (wiki).

The bare fact of the article’s publication may be noted, but exercise extreme caution regarding any information therein.

I can’t find any coverage of this incident in American-based news. The only stories in English I see from established press sources are in the UK and India, and even those skew to the tabloid side. Very odd.

Edit to add: I found an article out of Australia which seems more even-handed about acknowledging the murkiness of the event.

Here’s an article from Ukrainskaya Pravda: (You can have it translated into English)

It’s not that I am looking for articles to read. I am wondering why no legitimate mainstream press is not reporting what seems to be a pretty sensational story.

Possibly for the same reason they aren’t talking about Bat Boy or Elvis sightings.

(Though I’ll allow that it might not be because it’s fiction, but they may be waiting for corroboration before reporting it.)
