Why racism is not dead

I would just like to point out, as a person with an incredibly tasteless sense of humor, that disgusting jokes like these don’t necessarily mean a person is racist. I find myself laughing at jokes like these because of how rediculously offensive they are; it’s sort of like laughing at Borat not because you agree with the character’s comments but because people in that movie even agree with him.

You would be shocked to know that there are people that I actually had to explain Borat to…they were missing the point that you make.

If you substituted white for black in the pizza joke, would anyone think it’s funny? No, because there’s no stereotype of white people being too lazy to support their families.

Actually, (and I know this is off-topic), I originally heard this as a white person joke. (OK, to be specific, a white musician joke – What’s the difference between a drummer and a pizza?)

The other one was similar – How do you get a bassist off your porch? Pay him for the pizza.

Actually, I guess those are race-neutral, either musician could be black.

OK, I got nothin’.
