Slow? ::Blinkblink:: How the fuck is this SLOW? It’s one of the faster websites I go to (admittedly, also one of the least graphics intensive), and certainly the fastest MB.

This was addressed by jdavis in ATMB. The current server is a temporary one, and is not as fast as the old SDMB server. The old server is coming back, he said. Until then, either send the SDMB a new server or cope with it. Then, after the faster SDMB server is back up, see how it runs.

Oh happy days! That’s good news. Not that the old one was lightning fast, but I’m glad to hear it will speed up. Addicts should never be kept waiting, we become dangerous.

It’s not slow, it’s simply toying me.

It’s looking at me and thinking, “what can I do to him today?”.

It’s a living, breathing beeing, and it has a sence of humor.

Today, it would not even let me in at first. I thought “oh crap, it’s down again”. But after a few subsequent attemps, I did get in. So I’m sure this board is just playing tricks on me, and I kinda like it now. It sort of a challenge, to try to figure out what it will do any given day. It’s a battle of wills - the board wants me to go away, but I refuse. I continue to read and post in the face of all the bad jokes it has played on me in the last few months (what with disappearing for a while, than reappearing in temporary land, etc).

So I take it back. The board is not slow, it’s sly. But I will persist! Take that :stuck_out_tongue: board!
