Why the heck was I banned??

Seriously, I’d love to know.

Trenchmouth, that is. Not this one, yet.

Assuming that you don’t in fact know why you were banned, and even if you were in fact banned in error: you should e-mail an Administrator about this, not create a “sock puppet” (which is pretty much a bannable offense in and of itself).

E-mail Tuba.

Sometimes when Lynn’s tracking down and locking out folks who use anonymizers/spoofers, it also locks out the IP numbers of innocent bystanders. But yeah, what Buckner said, creating a sock puppet (re-registering under a different name) isn’t the way to go.

Sock-puppet = bad.
E-mailing admins = good.

But I read all his/her posts I could find, I didn’t see anything that would raise an eyebrow.

Were you using an anonymizer, trenchmouth?

my guess would be anonymizer or sock puppet…

Looking at the main forums your postings over the past 5 days or so seems to be the model of SDMB good manners. In those cases (ie the sudden ban o’ mystery) most bannings are for sock puppetry or technical infractions like forcing illegal database searches or using anonymizers etc.

Why not ask the admin instead of us.

Moving to ATMB.

But you already know, BINGOBURRINGO. Once removed for cause, you can’t come back again under another name.
