Why Trump will be one of the best Presidents ever

Chris Christie Thinks Trump Really Does Believe All The Horrific Things He Says

Yes. As much affection as I have for the man, he was way out of his depth on that one. As is, IMHO, Mr. Trump.

When he’s POTUS, Trump will make it easier to sue for libel, Trump says:[

Insofar that it may have actually caused harm I regret having bought a shirt supporting his campaign.

Sorry.

I don’t understand people who think there is a different man behind the persona. What signs do you have that this is true? It only seems to come from incredulity that he could be for real.

The one thing I have is that Penn Jilette, who worked with the man and has no reason to lie about it, says that what you see is what you get.

“But,” you say. “Maybe he never showed his true self to Jilette.” What does that matter? What good is some secret self that he never actually shows to anyone? What matters is how he’d run the country.

And I see no sign he’d run it any differently than how he’s running his campaign or how he’s run his businesses–both of which seem to be the same.

My understanding is that he did that only by letting his companies fail. So I expect he’ll be fine but he’ll let the US crash and burn.

Let’s not forget a muscle-bound bodybuilding / action movie star who talked funny who was inspired by the presidency of Richard Nixon to become the “Govenator” of California - Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In all fairness, that’s three oddballs who were elected to pretty high offices. While you may not agree with their politics or policies, I don’t think any of their terms would be considered a “disaster”.

Personally, I feel that Trump would be more credible as a Presidential candidate if he had been governor of a state first (let’s say New Jersey).

Precisely. This is a guy who, if an arm of his company is failing, says “fuck it, cut it off. Not my problem anymore.” That’s not a bad model for business–throwing good money after bad rarely works–but a national leader can’t just say “fuck it, not my problem” when Michigan goes into the pooper. That would be sick. It’s a fundamentally different way of operating.

Arnold’s was not great though. He was saved because here we care about our environment unlike some of the other states, and he pushed some green initiatives while governor. Which is too bad because we all know that Carl Weathers from Predator would have made the best governor between the three of them
