For the last week or so, I’ve been increasingly tempted to start posting here again, and in fact did make a post recently. Changed my mind. This was a shameful decision.
My understanding is that she’s paid a stipend to take care of the straightdope.com front page, but she isn’t paid for her role on the board itself.
She apparently gets “A stipend” but I think that may be for work she does on the main page, not the board?

Seriously, I would like to open a thread titled “the most surprising bannings” - is this allowed at all? I saw a zombie the other day with (I think) weirddave showing as banned, 7 and I am sure there will be others.
He should be asked back with an apology. Not that he would come. But for crying out loud, what kind of board do you want?

Open up just about any sufficiently old thread and you will find many of the participants banned.

it could be confirmation bias, but I think it used to be pretty rare that I saw it (I’ve been lurking for a long time). Now it seems really common. Is it that banned posters’ posts used to be disappeared and aren’t anymore or what?
And yeah - bring back 7!
