If a regular poster kept up with this shit, we’d get banned. Yet she’s never even warned, and still stays a mod. WTF? Shouldn’t mods actually be held to a higher standard than posters?

I disagree with the severity of Twickster’s mod note to herself. “You are coming across as a twat” isn’t necessarily calling the other poster a twat. She took the hardest line possible with herself in her interpretation of her words. In fact something like “that statement comes across as twattish” might even be allowed to fly in some threads outside of the Pit. But she precluded any possible chance of making that argument to herself by telling herself outright that they amount to the same thing.

It could be argued that she wasn’t trying to call the OP a twat but was merely calling the ideas they expressed twattish. She should open up an ATMB thread to ask herself to reconsider this note on these grounds. I think there’s a 50/50 chance she would if she catches herself in a good mood.

If you interchange twat with cunt (and they are interchangeable) you’d end up with cunt, cunty or cuntish. I don’t think you could get away with any of it outside the Pit, where you can call people twats but not cunts. A cunty, twattish rule, imho.

Twat is allowed in any forum as long as it isn’t directed at another poster. And calling an idea twattish might, in many cases be considered a roundabout way of saying that the OP is a twat. Maybe that is still the decision she would have ultimately reached if she had asked herself to reconsider. All I’m saying is she didn’t even give herself the chance and immediately made a judgment about her intentions.
