Why won't amazon send to me??

“We’re sorry. This item can’t be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order”. I get this everytime I try to buy an mp3 player, or some oil paints. Why is this? I live in Denmark, and the oil paints are under the category “toys”, and “toys” are able to be shipped to Denmark, it says on their website. Not sure about mp3 players. But I can’t buy oil paints seperately.

I don’t get it. Do I have to make a new acc?

wtf?

You could try asking them instead of us.

I do know that many electronic items cannot be shipped out of the US. The oil paints may be classified as some Schedule Such-and-such Hazardous Material and be also prohibited from being exported to a private individual.

Are the items sold by Amazon, or are they Amazon Marketplace? (It can be a little hard to tell sometimes.)

Like ebay, sellers in the Marketplace can set their own terms of where they’ll ship to, I believe.

Does the US branch of Amazon ship to Denmark at all?

I do not think there is actually a Danish Amazon, but you might do better at German Amazon, or French, or even British. What is more, as they won’t have to ship the stuff so far, the postage should be cheaper.

Check your address.

there may be an error.

Are you using a “real” address? My business address used to be rural delivery with a box number and I would get similar messages.

I think they’re sold in the Marketplace, but they’re the only one who have what I need…

I’m using the amazon.co.uk, and I’ve bought items from there before. I can see that I’m eligible for a book purchase, just not mp3s / paints. However, some months ago, I bought an mp3 player from the british amazon. It then broke, I sent it back and got my money. Then I tried ordering a new one, and then… “We’re sorry. This item…”

Yes, I checked it 2 times, it’s real!

Btw, the green text that says “In stock”, right below it, it says that "In Stock.
We are not able to ship this item to your default shipping address. "

Sometimes licensing arrangements for manufacturers don’t allow sales to some countries because of other sales partners.

Do paint sets count as hazardous chemicals, possibly?

Yeah, that is why.. I just talked to an amazon support. He said though, that 3 of the sellers on a link could send to Denmark. None of them worked…

I would think that if they are, they wouldn’t be able to be shipped anywhere.

prob solved, nvm (=

Be honest; was it the wrong address?

no :stuck_out_tongue: Some resellers just didnt send to my country.

Many countries ban shipping paint to Denmark as it’s quite risky shipping paints to the Dutch. Normally an even tempered and phlegmatic people painting tends to drive them into a frenzy, and it oftendoesn’t end well.

This joke would work better if the people of Denmark were actually Dutch.

Also, many shippers are products of the American education system.

Better?

Danes, Dutch what does it matter? They both leave babies alone in cars and carriages while they shop for for minutes at a time! They don’t bundle up in cold weather, they eat cheese sandwiches with no meat, and they don’t execute people.

Bad actors the lot of them!
