I’m trying to buy a set of audiobooks (DVD-ROMs) from Amazon, but it won’t let me continue with my order. I proceed to checkout and get error “Sorry, this item can’t be shipped to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order. You can also see if this item is available to ship to your address from another seller.” (It’s NOT.)
I live in Winnipeg, Canada and the item is sold by Amazon.com. How do I circumvent this error? This is the product by the way: https://amzn.com/B00PDXTYCY
Should I be contacting the merchant and pointing out that I can’t buy their stuff in Canada? Maybe they can get some action on this? What should I say? I have no experience buying on Amazon whatsoever. Thanks in advance,
I’m in the US, and I don’t see these as being sold by Amazon.com, but by third-party sellers. I would contact them directly. You can do so by clicking on the seller profile and then clicking the ASK A QUESTION button.
ETA; I didn’t even look at what the DVDs were, I agree this is spammy.
This is being sold by a third-party seller on the Amazon platform. Third-party sellers are allowed to say where they will ship to and where they won’t–the seller of this product has apparently chosen not to ship internationally (or at least not to your country). You can ask them to change their mind or make an exception for you (using the ASK A QUESTION link noted above).
It’s also possible, given Kevin Trudeau’s legal problems, that it may not be legal to ship this particular product to Canada; that’s something you’d have to take up with the Canadian authorities.
Probably you can’t circumvent it. But look on the bright side. The error has prevented you from wasting your money on a useless product from a larcenous fraudster, currently in federal prison.
Amazon sellers have the option of stating that they will not ship out of the US and this may be what the problem is. See if another seller (if there is one) has a better policy, or, try eBay next.
My address often comes up like that because I live on a street my town designates as a boulevard. The PO sees it as this but half the time other websites don’t. I find by either leaving blvd out or by changing it to street it works.
I have had this problem. I solved it by having it sent to my son who was going to visit. The fact that this company (legitimate without a doubt) won’t ship to Canada has not stopped them from inundating me with ads ever since. BTW, I tried to order it from amazon.ca, not amazon.com. Why would they even list products that cannot be shipped to Canada?
I’m kind of glad I wasn’t able to buy it off Amazon. I emailed the seller and he said he could set up an eBay auction for me, for the audios. However, I found out that it’s just a download link to the audios, and not the physical CDs. I already have the audios on mp3, but I wanted to have the physical CDs. Oh well.
So what you need is to make yourself some CDs from your mp3 files. If you don’t have a CD writer, you’ll probably discover that buying one, plus some blank CDs is probably cheaper than whatever the seller was asking for the CD set.
